At Woodlands we thrive on keeping our children fit and healthy and whilst we already offer PE lessons, the weekly mile, lunchtime clubs and after schools clubs we feel after a turbulent year that we would like to offer more to our pupils during their day.
As of Autumn Woodlands have now started an extra Fitness Boost lesson for children during their current timetable which will be offered to those who have excelled in other subjects and rewarded for their efforts and behaviour.
We know that keeping active is a vital part of every child’s education, as well as being important for their mental and physical health so we wanted to create
and make opportunities for children to become more active through fitness, fun & games.
Physical fitness, mental health and social well-being is something that should be catered for through exercise and an opportunity for children regardless of their
age, fitness level, confidence or ability levels to thrive on improving whilst at Woodlands.
Mr Dovey has already created lessons plans and well underway assessing and working hard with some children who are already benefiting from these extra
lessons so please keep an eye out if your child returns home with a Fitness Boost letter
Healthy Regards
